All the Markets!!

As per usual, started the day at the Corgi Cafe. Alo Coffee (An Thuong 34, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang) has all the delicious drinks I want, the corgis have now become friends, and it’s wonderfully convenient.

Today, we wanted to go check out the Han Market. We didn’t really need anything, maybe a few souvenirs, but we wanted to see one of the places we were likely to visit frequently after the move. It was kind of like the Hoi An Night Market, but much smaller and feels more like… indoor farmers market meets bazaar. It was pretty much what I would have expected from an indoor market in Agrabah, if Agrabah was in Vietnam lol. Aladdin would’ve loved it!

We discovered quickly that vendors will actually push candies and food directly into your mouth if you aren’t careful lol. I know they just want us to sample so we’re more likely to buy, but it was definitely unexpected. Stopped to pet an adorable cat, and her owner that runs a nearby shop showed us her new litter of kittens. Absolutely snagged a picture for Skipper! Harry had a few custom scarves made for a friend, they turned out great and only took about 10 minutes each. He’s such a thoughtful gift giver 💜

After our midday siesta, I changed into one of my new dresses and we ran down to the Son Tra Night Market. We’d already visited the others I’ve mentioned before, so we knew generally what to expect. And as luck would have it, there was a food stall selling Morning Glory!! So I got to have it again!!

The highlight of the day? We finally got to witness the marvel that is the Dragon Bridge. It truly does spew fire! And when it’s done, it also spits water!! That was particularly nice, considering how hot it was. Gave us a light mist that cooled us off nicely!
