Apparently, It’s Harry’s Turn??

Another trip to see our Corgi buddies – I’m absolutely loving starting the day with them. I always thought I was not a morning person, but it turns out I just needed the right circumstances. And the right circumstances include Vietnam, corgis, and coffee on a patio while I watch the world come to life around me. Who knew?

Went back to the room to see if Harry was interested in venturing out for breakfast, but he wasn’t feeling so hot. Uh oh. Heat exhaustion strikes again. Off to the local store for more Pocari Sweat and a stop at the Banh Mi shop for Ken (duh!). While we were there, I asked them for “Banh Mi Khong” and they seemed confused, so I said in English: “Just bread? Empty?” Turns out I had it right but they were thinking I had no clue what I was asking for lol. I explained that my son’s stomach wasn’t feeling very good and asked for an apple for him as well. She peeled and sliced the apple, put the baguette in a separate bag, and handed it to me “for your son to feel better”. I love these people. I’ve said it before, but I’m telling you – these people actually really care. Every time I encountered it, it was still a surprise, and just melted me all over again.

Another chill day inside to let Ken and Harry recover. Hopefully Harry is better soon, or he won’t be able to get that tattoo. It also gave me a chance to catch up on taking down some notes so I wouldn’t forget anything, so that’s a definite bonus. Because ADHD is a thing lol.
